Pork, Leaf Lard

eaf lard is the highest-quality fat from the hog, prized for its clean flavor, smooth texture, and exceptional performance in the kitchen. Sourced from around the kidneys, it is especially valued for baking because it creates tender, flaky pie crusts, biscuits, and pastries. Our leaf lard comes from heritage pigs raised in the woods and on pasture, fed certified organic, soy-free feed from a local mill, and allowed to forage naturally. Processed and packaged at a USDA-inspected facility in Forest City, NC, it is also excellent for rendering into premium lard for cooking and frying.
