Half of our moss Eggers will lay a mossy green and half of them will lay a beautiful mossy brown. Sometimes the eggs have speckles, sometimes they have a beautiful milky bloom. But in our opinion, these are some of the most gorgeous colored eggs produced at GreenHaven Farm.
Moss eggers feather out in black feathers, and sometimes either copper or silver laced around the neck. They have lightly feathered legs. This breed is sex-linked, which means they can be feather sexed at hatch. Males can be easily identified by a small white dot on their head.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE HATCHING EGGS WILL NOT BE THE SAME COLOR AS SHOWN ABOVE. THIS IS A BACK CROSS OF GREENHAVENS SAGE EGGERS UNDER A BLACK COPPER MARAN ROOSTER, SO THE CHICKS YOU HATCH FROM THESE EGGS WILL LAY VERY SIMILAR EGG COLOR AS ABOVE.

GreenHaven Farm carefully collects, stores, and packs hatching eggs to ensure they leave our farm in excellent condition. However, once eggs leave our control, we cannot guarantee fertility or hatch rates for shipped hatching eggs.
Hatching success is influenced by many factors beyond our control, including but not limited to shipping conditions, handling, storage, incubation equipment, incubation settings, and individual customer practices. Even under ideal conditions, no hatching egg supplier can guarantee a specific hatch rate, especially for eggs that are shipped.
