Half of our moss Eggers will lay a mossy speckled green and half of them will lay brown. Most of the time the eggs have speckles, and OCCASIONALLY they have a beautiful milky bloom. But in our opinion, these are some of the most gorgeous colored eggs produced at GreenHaven Farm. We recommend getting at least two to improve your chances to adding both of these unique egg colors to your egg basket.
Moss eggers feather out in black feathers, and sometimes either copper or silver laced around the neck. They have lightly feathered legs.
This breed is sex-linked, which means we can feather sex them at hatch. Males can be easily identified by a small white dot on their head. Please let us know if you want a free male moss egger chick with your order.
